Hi, I'm Morgan

I'm a wife, mommy, fabric lover and quilting enthusiast! I love creating and continuously challenging myself in new, creative ways. I am happiest when I'm with the 3 guys in my life, playing with fabric or sewing a baby quilt. Thanks for visiting with me!

I grew up in the Central Valley of CA and went to college at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, where I majored in Finance, Accounting and Economics. After graduating, I moved to San Jose and began working as a public accountant and eventually got my CPA.

While living there, I met my (now) husband Gabriel who was from the East coast. A year later, he convinced me to move. So in 2010, we packed up all my things in a U-haul truck and drove cross country to Long Island, NY, where we now live. I continued my accounting career at New York University in NYC until 2014 when my first son was born. We decided I would stay home full-time after that. I am now a proud mommy of 2 rambunctious little boys, Evan (age 6) and Xavier (age 4) and have another little guy on the way!

In 2013, the first nephew in my family was born. I wanted to make something special for him and started searching on pinterest for ideas. That's how I was introduced to quilting. I stumbled into a whole new world and fell in love fast!

Over the past few years, I've enjoyed learning the art of quilting. I love the creative outlet it gives me while I am at home. In 2017, I started selling quilts and other handmade items on etsy. At the end of 2018, I decided to create a website to expand upon my business. After a couple iterations, The Fabric Bug was born.

I love how the internet and social media gives us the ability to connect with people we could never reach otherwise. I hope you enjoy visiting my site and would love to hear from you!
